Octadecyltrimethoxysilane can improve the carrier mobility of various vacuum deposited and solution cast organic semiconductors.
application
Magnetic nanoparticles (Fe 2 O 3 ) can be surface modified using OTMS. It forms an adsorbent for magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) of endocrine disruptors (organochlorine pesticides) from milk samples. [4] It can form a corrosion protective coating on AZ31 magnesium alloy and has potential applications in the automotive industry. [5] It can also be used to form composite materials with fly ash, and after coating, superhydrophobic and UV-resistant cotton fabrics can be obtained. [6]
OTS was used to develop self-assembled monolayers (SAMs). [ 3 ] OTS is also used to modify silicon dioxide dielectric surfaces in organic field-effect transistors.
