NEP is a colorless transparent liquid with high polarity, chemical and thermal stability. Its boiling point is 82-83ºC(-101.3Kpa), refractive index is 1.4665, and density is 0.994. It has the characteristics of high solubility, low steam pressure and low dielectric constant. It can be used as highly selective solvent, catalyst and cationic surfactant in industry.
